Pediatric CPR & First Aid Classes in Harrisburg, PA
J.A.S. Training & Safety Solutions runs AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED classes in Harrisburg, Hershey and Hummelstown, PA, plus onsite training at daycares, schools and community groups across Central Pennsylvania. The class covers infants and children, runs as a single hands-on session, and certification is valid for two years.
Who Needs Pediatric CPR & First Aid Training
Pediatric CPR is different from adult CPR. Compression depth, hand placement and rescue breathing all change for a child or an infant, and the emergencies you are most likely to face are different too. This class is built for the people responsible for children.
Childcare and daycare staff
Early childhood professionals in Pennsylvania are required to hold current pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR certification.
Teachers and school staff
Classroom teachers, aides, nurses and after-school program staff who need certification for employment or licensing.
Camp counsellors and youth group leaders
Scout leaders, sports coaches and camp staff responsible for groups of children.
Parents, grandparents and babysitters
No occupational requirement, just the ability to act in the first few minutes before an ambulance arrives.
Nannies and in-home caregivers
Certification many families now ask for before hiring.
If you need general workplace certification rather than pediatric specifically, the
Heartsaver CPR and AED class covers adult response for offices, gyms and community settings.

What Pediatric CPR Certification Costs
Open enrollment classes at J.A.S. Training start at $60 per person. What you pay depends on three things:
- Which certification you need. Pediatric CPR and First Aid combined costs more than CPR alone.
- Whether you attend an open class or book onsite training. Group rates apply when we come to you.
- Group size. Larger groups booked together cost less per person.
There are no hidden fees. Your certification card is included in the class price.
Onsite Training for Daycares, Schools and Groups
We travel to daycares, schools, churches and community groups across Central Pennsylvania to run pediatric certification on site, scheduled around your operating hours so you are not closing for a day. Groups of any size, from a handful of staff to a full centre.
Taught by Jeremy Saul
Every class is taught personally by Jeremy Saul, who spent 20 years with the Air National Guard, served as a Captain with the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire, and holds a master's degree in Emergency Management.
