PPE Training

Course Description

While engineering or administrative controls can't eliminate all physical hazards, personal protective equipment (PPE) serves as a crucial last line of defense. Surprisingly, data indicates that a significant number of workers experiencing eye, head, and foot injuries are not wearing proper PPE. These injuries could be mitigated or entirely prevented with the correct use of PPE.

OSHA mandates that employers assess their workplaces for hazards and certify this evaluation. Our PPE Compliance Training is designed to assist you in meeting these requirements. Throughout the training, you will delve into key elements of the OSHA PPE regulation (29CFR 1910.132-140, Subpart I) and gain the knowledge needed to safeguard both your employees and your business.

The seminar will cover:

  1. Understanding the relationship between PPE, administrative controls, and engineering controls.
  2. Conducting a PPE Hazard Assessment and Certification Statement.
  3. Exploring various types of PPE and learning how to use them effectively.
  4. Gaining insights into OSHA's responses to implementation questions, such as responsibility for PPE costs and employee-provided PPE.

The training provides simple, practical methods to ensure compliance with the OSHA standard, ultimately enhancing employee protection. By the end of the seminar, you will leave with increased confidence and the skills to:

  1. Conduct a PPE Hazard Assessment as required by OSHA.
  2. Identify critical elements for inclusion in your PPE Hazard Assessment Certification Statement.
  3. Avoid common PPE compliance mistakes that could result in OSHA fines.
  4. Reduce the frequency and severity of injuries within your facility.
  5. Save on workers' compensation and related costs.
